Long Jing

The most famous Chinese green tea. The name of this tea comes from the name of Longjing village located near the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province.
It is a mild-tasting tea with a characteristic hint of peanuts - perfect for trying green teas for novices. The aroma is sweet and slightly grassy.
Long jing tea is valued in China for its properties - it has a lot of vitamin C and amino acids. Long jing was prepared by Buddhist monks and given to pilgrims, it gave them strength, eliminated stress and chased away bad thoughts. Currently, Long jing is at the top of the list of 10 famous Chinese teas.
This tea comes in various levels of quality, and the best leaves are harvested in early spring.
